Trey's 2!!

Today is Trey's second birthday! We figure it's about time since he entered the whole 'terrible two' phase a while ago! Don't get me wrong we love him to death, but he's just a boy who knows what he wants. He talks like a three year old so sometimes it's hard to remember he's still little. For example. Yesterday he woke up very hungry. He went over to Monty and said, "Dad, i want cereal." Monty said okay and proceeded to make it for him. However, he wasn't doing it fast enough for our little man and he started screaming at Monty, "WANT CEREAL!!" Monty told him not to talk to him that way. Then mumbled, "man, you're bossy." Trey screamed, "I not bossy. I'm Trey!" Wow...good thing he's our fourth and we've had some practice putting kids in their place! We love you Trey...we've just got to try to channel your 'strengths' to benefit you. Happy Birthday! You make me laugh everyday and for that I am thankful! I remember holding you in my arms for the first time...you were so perfect! I can't believe that it has already been two years!! I guess time flies when you're having fun! Love you son!! We are having a party later today, so I'll post pictures later! Just wanted to say Happy Birthday while I had a second.

Trey had a lot of fun at his party!! He got his wish!! Whenever we asked him what he wanted for him birthday he'd say, "Um, Ice cream cone!" This was his favorite moment of his birthday!

Monty planned some games. One was a mummy wrap! Chase and uncle Ryan were the winners! We had a water ballon toss. The adults had a lot of fun!! I think Ryan and Lizeth were the winners! TREY LOVES WATER BALLONS!! He kept going to the chest and taking them out and throwing them! It was his party...he could do what he wanted! Enjoying the park!

A fun day was had by all.

Bravest of the brave

I couldn't help but take a picture of Trey and Kory playing today! Trey is finally getting to the age that he can start to play with the boys and him and Kory are starting have tons of fun together. Today they came up with these hats(boys will be boys) and got on top of the bunk bed. While up there they were singing, "We're the bravest of the brave!" I love to watch them have fun together.

Happy Birthday Emjae!

Saturday we went to Las Vegas to celebrate Emjae's 1st birthday. I can't believe she's already one!
She's growing up so fast! Happy Birthday Emjae. We are glad we could make it! Our boys had a blast swimming for about 5 hours straight! The water was so cold, but that didn't stop our fish!
It was a quick trip, but well worth it. It was great to see you again James, Cindy, Emjae and soon to arrive--Julie!

Field Trip

Yesterday Tyler and Kyle both went on a field trip to see the play 'Ferdinand the Bull'. For Kyle it was his first time on a school bus, so he was pretty excited. When I picked him up from school I asked him, "So, Kyle how was your first trip on a school bus?" Kyle, "Great, except Mondo feel asleep on me twice. But you know what I did. After the teacher woke him up I told him he was still asleep and dreaming. He was really confused!" Typical Kyle! What a joker. I love this boy! He's always good for a laugh.

New calling

Wednesday night the Stake President called and said he wanted to meet with us. Yeah, needless to say it wasn't the best night's sleep we've ever had. On Thursday night we met with him and he called Monty to be 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. We were totally caught off guard, but when the Lord asks...we serve right. Today he was called/set apart and now the real fun begins. Congrats sweetheart. Love ya.

Sick!

Poor Trey has been sick since Friday night. Monty and I took him with us on our date to Target and he was being so cute, however later that night it all began. It's been so hard to watch him be so sick. He hasn't been bad, in fact he's had such a strong attitude through the whole things, but yesterday I could tell he'd about had it. He's was so hungry, but couldn't keep anything down. It broke my heart every time he'd beg for a glass of milk and I'd have to tell him no. He'd say, "Please mamma milk!" It starts to rip at your heart. He is on the uphill I think since he's kept everything down since about 5pm yesterday. However, he's still wiped out. This morning when I got out of the shower he walked into the bathroom and said, "Mom, I go to sleep." I told him okay and when I came out he was sound asleep on my floor. He's so precious. We love him so much. On Saturday we took him to the doctor just to make sure he was not dehydrated and they gave us a Zofran which seemed to help him last night. His stomach was so crampy, but I gave him the pill and then we had such a fun little walk. He told me everything he wanted to do. The cutest part was when we saw a cat. He said, "Mom, it a tiger. ROAR! I save you mom." and he gave me a hug. I told him, "Oh thanks Trey. I love you." He responded, "I love you too." I just love that he can talk! Hope you feel better soon Trey.

Flooded bathroom!

So, tonight Tyler baptized our bathroom! We were having spaghetti for dinner and Tyler spilled on his white shirt, so I told him to take it off and go get some water on it to get it soaking. About 5 minutes (maybe more)later my mother in law said, "Is that the water in your bathroom running?" I asked Tyler if he'd accidentally left the water on and he said, "No, I left it on because you told me to soak my shirt." Needless to say when we walked back to the bathroom it was immersed in about 2 inches of water...some places more! We grabbed towels and started cleaning. So funny. Tyler said, "I can't wait to tell my class about this tomorrow." Oh the one hand I was frustrated by the whole thing, but by and large I was proud of him for taking it so well. Sometimes our boys make mistakes and beat themselves up. This time Tyler realized it was just an accident and everything would dry. For the record it was Kory and Trey's dream come true! Kory walked in and started jumping around and then Trey walked in laughing and stomping saying, "Puddle splash!" If I was kinder I would have let them play, but I made them leave. Funny and crazy day! See Michelle...you aren't the only one!:)
