Sleep!

Trey has been our best sleeper--I must give him that. Now, this isn't anything to brag about, he still didn't sleep through the night till he was a year old(oh except for about three weeks when he was 10months old), however he does take comfort in his thumb and has been our only child who has ever put himself to sleep. Up until now I could put him in his crib, say 'sleep well' and he'd go to sleep...however, things are changing. He's getting a little more clingy! I've found that as long as I stay in the room he will go to sleep. I don't have to pat his back or any of the slave labor the other boys demanded and for that I'm grateful. So, I've adapted well and during his nap I lay down on Kory's bed until he falls to sleep. Sometimes I take the opportunity to nap myself, other times I read, or pretend to be asleep...you all know the drill. Well, the other night I was so tired when I was putting the boys to bed so after putting Trey in his bed I went to lay on Kory's bed...the difference being Kory was also in his bed. Trey was furious and would have nothing to do with that!! He stood in his bed screaming until I took him out and put him in Kory's bed with us. Then he peacefully went to sleep. So the new verdict...Trey is find with me in Kory's bed just so long as Kory is not in the bed too. Again, I can't complain...I find it funny!

How crazy! Aren't kids funny? I can totally see that happening. I, personally, would rather have my own bed and watch everyone else crowded on another bed, but hey -- to each his own!

it's funny when it's your 4th and makes you crazy when it's your 1st. that is the best thing about being an experienced mom. I'm praying for a good sleeper this time. I feel like I deserve it after 8 years of slave labor with the others. But I know better than to wish and pray because it is so unlikley. Poor little Trey didn't want to be left out. precious.

That's too cute! Crazy how we are able to find out what tactics work and which ones don't! No two kids are alike...that's for sure...although it would sure help out if they were sometimes!

I have found that emjae is more clingy during the day now that we have a play pen that fits in our room for her to sleep in. Trey doesn't want to share his mom at bed time! thats cute.

It's always nice to hear that others have a hard time with their kids sleeping. I feel like a slave to mine at night. When Sam was little if I said the wrong thing during her routine she would flip and we would have to start over! Trey sounds like a cutie!

holy cow I'm truly impressed that you do all that! we had to work at getting our kids to go to sleep, but now we just tuck them in and walk out. if we have to do more than that, spencer and i get frustrated! but your boys are just so cute!
