Roundup!

Monty's dad has an 'unknown' number of chickens on his property. Yesterday Monty had the idea to round them up and put them in the coop. Boy were they surprised. Monty said the first one he caught was a piece of cake, but after that they knew what was going on and it became quite a chore! My sister in law Cindy and I had a great time watching the gang with the round up. When all was said and done they caught at least 20--the task will have to continue a different day. Great job guys!!
A chicken flying off the coop trying to get away! Tyler--do you think he looks proud? How many people does it take to catch a rooster? Two brothers! (James is in the tree, Monty's on the ground)
Kyle during a proud moment. To finish the evening we had chicken for dinner! Not one of these chickens, but the boys thought it was funny anyway!

That is so funny! It just reminds me of the night of the BBQ when the boys were all chasing the poor chickens. I bet Christian would have had fun helping Uncle Monty :)

Yeah for you guys! We've been talking alot about emergency preparedness lately, and how helpful it would be to have chickens, but I'm just not ready to go there. Oh, yes, those boys looked so proud! I loved your pictures -- priceless.

That is the funniest thing! I would have paid money to see Monty and the boys chasing those chickens! What did Trey think of it all, or was he napping?!

Funny that you guys had chicken for dinner too! My love to the boys! Cameron asks about them ALL the time!

That sounds like an awesome activity. Next time I need to get a group of chickens rounded up I will give your boys a call. :o)
That looks like it was a ton of fun.

Brave boys! I stay away from birds, unless they are in the meat dept.

HILARIOUS! I wish you could have video taped some of that "round up!"...but it's probably a good thing you didn't since I think I'd laugh so hard I'd pee my pants!

...and to think that they caught 20 and still have more they need to catch! Maybe they could get a tazer gun or something!

I know some pretty cool tricks you can use to get chickens to stay still...but you gotta catch them first! Monty and the boys would probably think they were fun though! I'll have to email that to you!

Thanks for the fun pictures!
