Busy, busy...

Monty started school about a month ago. He's enjoying what he's studying and still faithfully substitutes about 4 times a week to pay our expenses. I appreciate his willingness to still work even though he's taking about 28 units. I have to say he has an amazing ability to just do what he needs to do without getting worked up. He never asks for sympathy he just does what he needs to do. Thanks Monty for all you do. I have to agree with the kids from Boyd Elementary who think he's 'Mr. Superman'.

Tyler and Kyle are both doing well in school. The other day when I went to pick up Kyle his teacher told me, "Yeah, Kyle needs to go to the bathroom. He's been doing the dance for two hours, but he wouldn't go when I asked him because the bathroom wasn't clean enough." She even tried to send him to the other kindergarten, but he didn't know anyone so he just left the room. I made him go in his classroom before we left! When we got the car I asked him if he flushed. He said, "oh man I forgot!" Yeah, so clean he forgets to flush! Crazy kid!

Another funny Kyle story. So, my brother Greg is going into the military in a few months. He's getting ready for his physical. Him and Monty have been talking about the physical and Greg was talking about how they make you stand in your underwear for a health exam. So, Kyle came to me a few nights ago and said, "Mom, I don't really want to go on a mission." I asked him why and he said, "I heard dad and Tio(Greg) talking about having the stand in a room only in your underwear." I said, "Oh, that's for basic training honey. That's the military, not for a mission." He then replied, "Oh, thank goodness!! I didn't want to do that!" I seriously have the most modest boys on earth!

Last week Trey was sick. He had a fever for 3 days, and on day 3 I finally asked Monty to give him a blessing.(you can only give your kid constant Tylenol so long when you know you have another form of 'medicine' if you will). He did and Trey was better the next morning. I'm so thankful Monty's worthy to have the priesthood and use it to bless our family.

I've been going to the gym 3 times a week. My mom and dad got me a membership to a local gym and my sister in law Veronica and I work out three times a week while my brother, Tio, watches Trey and Kory. It's been a really fun activity! Trey was having trouble with me leaving him, but he's starting to get use to it. Now I hold him when we get there and then after about five minutes he says, "Down. Mom. Gym. Bye" That's my cue to go! When he says it he has tears in his eyes, but a brave look in them as well. Priceless.

Kory is a typical boy! Yesterday on the way to the gym, Kory said, "Mom, I can fart with my mouth!" He then made funny noises with him mouth. What made it so funny was he was totally serious!! He had NO idea it was crude! My friend Jennifer reminded me the day before that it's important to laugh out loud everyday, so I took that time to do just that! Heck, why not!!

Tyler and I are also taking Piano lessons from my mom. She's so patient and kind with us. Tyler is loving it and has a real talent for the piano and I'm enjoying learning again. Tyler even played 'Once There Was a Snowman' for family night Monday.

All is well....all is well.

LOVE your update!

28 units! Isn't that like double what is considered "full time"? Monty is amazing. I love to see a guy step up to the plate to take care of his family AND reach his personal goals...I think it is awesome that you are supporting him in this. It frustrates me to see guys who have families just decide that they can't go to school and work full time..."YES YOU CAN!"

anyhow...

I have to say, I am jealous that you get to go to the gym AND have someone who's willing to watch your kids. What a BLESSING! my friend tells me that working out is like medicine for her...it just makes her feel so much better not only physically but mentally too...

What else....

I guess that's all!

Love ya!

I'm so happy to see this update! I was just about to email you to see what you've been up to. Feels like we haven't "talked" in forever!

What an awesome family you have! I'm so proud of Monty for all he does, YOU for going to the gym (yeah!) and your boys for just being adorable. I'm glad things are working out for you.

OMG... Thanks for the update. Reading stories of the boys are so fun for me and a nice break from the Calculus nightmare that I got myself into. I missed one day last week because my 8:00 am appointment lasted more than 3 hours. Anyhow, love and miss you long time...
