And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the son of God, that ye must build your foundation. Heleman 5:12

Scouts
So, we've entered a new phase of life--scouts. Tyler has been in scouts for 4 weeks. The first week he was the only scout to show up. His second week they cancelled. His third week was a major disappointment as they had to take their bikes and since it was a pack meeting with all the boys Tyler had trouble keeping up. I didn't know it was a pack meeting so I didn't stay and lets just say Tyler cried on the way home and I felt just horrible. So, last night his leader called and told me her daughter was sick and asked if I could do the lesson. Feeling guilty from last week I of course accepted and threw together the lesson. Three boys showed up and it went okay, but the best part happened after we came home. We were kneeling down for prayer when Tyler looked at me and said, "Thanks mom. You know for tonight. You did a good job with your lesson." I thanked him and gave him a hug and then he said, "I wish you could teach me every week." Needless to say my heart melted. I love this boy! Oh, he also got his 'Sail Boat' for the next pack meeting. He's so excited to sand, paint, and put it together. Fun times

Ok, you made this Auntie cry too. He is SUCH a special spirit!! Good job mom! :)
Sweet, sweet boy. I shared this story with Chloe. I could see a little light bulb come on, and I think she realized she could be a little kinder to her mom! You are very fortunate to have a son like Tyler.
