Reminiscing

Christmas 2006 San Diego Zoo Jan 2007
San Diego Jan 2007
Last night I sat down to the computer and was reminiscing. Where did the time go? We only had three boys. I can't even remember having only three boys. But these picture prove it. I have to admit, I had to stop looking at pictures because I became emotional. They are growing so fast!! As I looked through these pictures of a trip we took to the Santa Barbara zoo, I was reminded of this giraffe. We called it the giraffe with the crooked neck. Apparently he was born this way. It was the craziest thing to watch him walk around. The zoo keepers assured us he wasn't in pain.
Since this picture however I believe the giraffe has died.

I was doing some reminiscing of my own today. Looking at old pictures and movies. Bitter-sweet, isn't it? I remember your family with only 3 kids! I still can't believe you are a mom to 5.

I got behind on the blogs. You have some fun pictures here. I was amazed at Kory's trick. He really does that? I think he IS
Spiderman. Makai does look very handsome. Did I read it right? Is he over 16 pounds? You didn't weigh that when you were six months old! The old pictures are fun. But the boys seem so old now. They were young once . . .

I can't imagine how it will feel to look at these old pictures when we are empty nesters. It makes me want to be a better Mom, and enjoy each day a little more.

Please tell me that you are like me and have more family footage of Tyler than any other kid. We have only gotten the video camera out like once or twice since Weston was born. I don't have a single family video of when I was little. We never owned a video camera...and my parents never develpoed pictures even when they did have a camera to take them with!

Anyhow...I love pictures because they really do capture a moment that will never happen again. I was looking at some 2008 pictures...feeling like 2008 wasn't very long ago but realizing Weston was a little baby in them! Crazy how time flies!
