Sometimes, it doesn't matter how many time you tell them, they still have to try it. In this case Trey was sorry really quick!
I'm sure some parents might think it was mean to take pictures before untangling him, but I needed it for teaching purposes in the future.
Dad got him out and he learned it's not good to play in the cords of the blinds. Now he knows it's not just talk.

From the look on his face it looks like he's learned. So sad! I feel a little bad for him, but I know how hard we try to protect our kids, and it kills us even more inside when they get hurt -- especially after being warned.
The only thing crueler than putting these pictures on the blog is laughing at them, which I did. Sorry, I just couldn't help it. I love you!
Kristin..even before reading it, i started laughing!! I would have gotten out the camera too!! And been laughing the whole time. They think it's funny too...just later on. :) He probably just didn't understand before why you told him not to play with the cords...now he does ;) lol oh, and sorry for laughing at you!
Seriously....it's a good thing that wasn't around his neck! Those things are so scary...but your pictures of him aren't...they're hilarious!
I would have ran for the camera after I laughed and then hope that my girls would still be tangled so I could capture the moment.:) If he is anything like his cousins over here, he hasn't learned his lesson yet. Maybe after he has done it 20 more times :)

i am glad i'm not the only one that feels teh need to document with camera before fixing a situation! hahahaha.......
Oh, I hate those types of blinds. There are a number of toddlers that strangle themselves each year. We have some and I ALWAYS place the chords way up high so they don't hang. Please be careful and hang the chords up way hi so the little ones can't reach them. I'm might be a bit paranoid but it really does kill a number of kids each year.
