He was so excited for his birthday this year and why not...he's two whole hands! Early in the morning he came into our room and tapped my shoulder and then just stood there. Of course he was waiting for me to wish him a happy birthday, so I did and then told him he could go play video games (and I went back to sleep). He's been eyeballing this cake from Sam's club for months! It is a chocolate cake with chocolate moose and Reese's peanut butter cups crushed on top. He said it was just as good as he'd imagined.
We spent the afternoon at the park. The weather was perfect. We had Italian food for dinner, which is Tyler's favorite...hands down. We got him a new watch, a Rubiks 360 (which he completed in one day), more origami paper, and of course a few video games. He also got a bug book, experiment kit and a bingo game from Mammy and Grandpop. We love you Tyler and can't believe you are really 10 yrs old!!

Happy Birthday Tyler! Your cake does look super yummy:) Kristin it's scary how fast the years go by. His baptism seems not that long ago. Next thing we know it he will be in young mens.
Happy birthday, Ty! I have a nearly 10 year old myself, so I always remember his age (that helps!) I love watching the kind of man he's growing into. And I love that cake. I've never been a big cake lover, but I will eat chocolate -- and that one looks very good!
He looks like a ten year-old, but it's still hard to fathom. Time goes by sooooooooooooo quickly.
Yum! Tyler looks so grown up, before you know it you'll be sending him on his mission! Brilliant young man!
