So a few weeks ago after church we were trying to have a relaxing afternoon. I think Monty was home teaching or something because I was home alone with the boys. I was reading an article in the Ensign and had drifted off to sleep. Kory and Tyler were fighting over something...I can't remember what, but after asking them to quiet down and getting no response I sent them outside. I figured if they wanted to be as loud as animals they could go join the animal kingdom. This seemed like an appropriate punishment being that it was cold outside. After about 10 minutes I told them they could come inside and we had a talk about getting along. You know the drill. Well, the next day I went outside and found this.

Yes, these are the moments when a mother is so proud of her boys. "You stink!" "You are Pooh," "Kill yourself." |

Needless to say after school we had another talk. The worst part was we has some people come inspect the roof for hail damage and I hadn't erased it as I wanted to talk to the boys about it. This was not my proudest moment. Anyway, although things around always roses...we generally get along!
On a happier note Trey was so excited the other day about a gift he'd made for me. He told me to close my eyes and follow him upstairs. I walked into my bathroom to find this...
He was so proud of himself! I wish I'd of captured his face as he stood there so proud of himself. It did make for a fun gift. Thanks Trey.

Oh yes, I know about the thorny side of life. But you watch, your boys are going to look back at that picture and LAUGH! They'll think it's funny. I'm glad to hear that Tyler and Kyle fight. Makes me feel just a little bit more normal.
I love your present from Trey! I'd love to have seen YOUR face when he showed it to you :)
LOL! That is a great gift from Trey! Don't you hate it when you use a public bathroom and they are all out of seat covers and you have to make yourself one!
Ok...I LOVE the chalk messages too.
LOL! Weston just saw Trey's gift...and he said, "Mom, can that be for my toilet?" I think he just got inspired. Post THAT in pintress!
I like that gift. That was very nice of him . . . Maybe he can help you out in other places, too.
so, who were those weird neighbors who put those vile things in your backyard? You need to keep your gates closed. I hope your sweet boys didn't see that.
