First week of School

We had a great first week of school! All the boys are enjoying the school year so far.  Tyler is loving Middle School and seems to have adjusted to the new environment quickly.  He thought there would be at least one teacher that wasn't nice, but informed me he was wrong...they are all nice.  He's pretty excited about having band this year.

Although it doesn't sound like 'music' to me yet, Makai loves it!  He dances to the 'honks' and begs for more!:)

Trey had no problems starting school. I walked him to school the first day, but he could have cared less if I was there of not.  He dropped his backpack off at the door and then ran to the playground.  I saw Kyle find Trey on the playground and put his arm around him.  That was the reason I was there I think...so I could see that.  Kyle is stepping up to the 'oldest brother' position and takes it seriously.  I'm glad he watched out for Trey.  Trey really enjoys hop scotch and is rather good at it. 

Ready for Kindergarten!

 Kyle started 4th grade and has the same teacher Tyler had for 4th grade.  We really like her so we were excited about that.  Kory has the same teacher Kyle had for 2nd too.  Kory likes her.  I think it's gonna be another good year.

 Since all the boys are at school this leaves just me and Makai till 11:45 when we pick up Trey.  He had quite the wake up call when all his brothers left, but he handled it.  He's pretty good at playing alone and it's easier to take just one kid places so we stayed busy this week.  He has a very different personality than Trey.  He will just go to the toy room and play with toys and sing.  Trey wants to be played with!

I feel very blessed that the first week went so well.  Monty gave all the boys blessings before school this year.  They always look forward to getting their school blessings.  It was pretty special.  Here's to another school year.
