Always remember 12/12/12

So, last night I realized today was going to be 12/12/12!  I told my boys who were not totally impressed...I guess they'd realized that long ago.  In fact, Tyler even said, yeah, mom...this won't happen again for about another thousand years...or something to that effect.

Anyway, I had to document the day.  So...this is 12/12/12 at our house.
Five little boys all with the stomach flu of some sort.  They all stayed home from school.  Makai is in the best of spirits of any of the boys, but he was the first to get it last night.  I told them they could watch Tin Tin.  I think Trey is feeling a little better too because he asked for an apple.  He was the second to get it, last night at about 1am.  Finally finished cleaning up about 2am.  However, I was pretty proud of myself that I didn't yell...I was very kind and loving which isn't easy when you are trying so hard to not get sick yourself.  I think we need a new super hero...Super Sick Cleanuperer!  At least, thinking about that is what got me through last night.  Anyway...I think I can go ahead and forget today.  I don't care if we don't have another one for 1,000years!

Oh how sad :( I'm sorry they're all sick. I used to be a really good nurse when my kids were sick, but I'm starting to turn into my husband who just gets grumpy if a sick kid breathes on him. He's so sure he's going to get it. I've learned I don't want to catch it either, but I still want to hold my kids when they don't feel well. I think you're already a superhero. Maybe not a Super Sick Cleanuperer, but you are amazing in so many other ways. Just remember that. And here's to not getting sick for another thousand years!

5 sick all at once! I guess the bright side is that you can get over with the bug faster if they all get it at once.
Kaitlyn pointed out to us that it was 12-12-12 yesterday. She said next year it will be 1-3-13...which is almost as cool. She thought we should go do something to celebrate last night. We thought differently. Boring parents but oh well.
