Cute as can be, right! I admit they don't come much cuter than him! We named him Magnus and the boys were enjoying the novelty of having a dog. I however was always frustrated with the little guy. He was so small and loved to run right under your feet. I always felt bad when I'd step on him. However, the main reason he bothered me was he wasn't potty trained and let me tell you--I potty trained 5 little boys and they have nothing on a dog! After almost a month there was no progress at all. I hated cleaning up after the beast. However, it was hard to be mad at him because he was cute, but I was still frustrated. Every time I left the house we'd put him in his crate and I'd feel guilty till we came home. I didn't like feeling guilty for now being home. Then we'd get home and he'd pee in my house and then I'd be mad! Then he'd want to be held or snuggle up to you and fall asleep and I'd feel guilty moving. Needless to say, as sweet as he was, I couldn't do it.
Monty saw my frustration and put him up for sale. The boys were not happy with the idea and we had some moments around the kitchen table when they were all in tears. I felt bad, but not bad enough NOT to sell him.
We found him a nice home. A home where they have another dog, have owned a dachshund before who looked like Magnus, but had passed away and really wanted him. When we made the exchange he jumped into their arms and I threw my arms in the air!! I feel like he is in a better place. ;)
There were some cute moments:
It was a nice experiment, but I need a clean house more than I need a dog. Sorry boys! Maybe one day we'll buy a potty trained dog........maybe!

Kristin...you and I are right on the same page when it comes to pets. I just can't give them the attention they seem to need in this day and age! Whatever happened to having a dog that lived outside and wasn't treated like a human. It seems that now days...if you don't treat your pet like they are a first class citizen and give them everything but a voting right...then you are guilty of neglect and should fear legal action!
I am glad that Magnus has a new home!
P.S. You need to check out my nieces blog (she has a 3 legged dog! but that's not why you should check it out.) It's her most recent "worst parent of the year award" post! It is classic! Find her link on my blog...her name is Jewel.
