Kory 12!!!

One year older and wiser too!!  Kory is officially 12!  He is NOT taller than me--yet.  But he will be before we know it.  He is always really excited for his birthday.  He still loves the Broncos and Golden State and anyone who enters his bedroom would know it.  He wanted to pick out his own gifts this year.  He LOVES to sit at the computer and draw basketball players.  He is incredibly patient in this process and does a great job. Sometimes he even gets requests from classmates.  He will get the priesthood next week which is very exciting.  We'll have 4 priesthood holders in our house!!  Kory got to go on his first camp out last weekend with the older scouts.  He had fun with Kyle.  Kyle really wanted to go to the SOUTH football game as they have made the playoffs,, but said, "Well, it is Kory's first campout.  I don't want him to go alone so I'll go on the camp out."  Kory did come home pretty tired.  We can tell he is in the middle of a growth spurt because he is sleeping a lot more and a little moody!  He is also stepping up his game and eating a whole lot more.  He sill enjoys reading and is loving middle school.  He began playing the trumpet this year and takes it pretty seriously.  Tonight is his first concert.  We'll see how that goes.  He also likes girls and is not ashamed of it at all!  Although some of the other boys keep their crushes kinda hush, hush.  WE all know who Kory likes and he is NOT ASHAMED!  I love that he will tell us.  And she is a blonde!  He says he goes for blondes!

For his birthday he picked chicken burgers for dinner with tater tots and for dessert he wanted a lemon cake with cream cheese frosting and vanilla waffers on top.  He still enjoys cooking.  Although, he no longer wants to be a chef.  He now wants to play in the NBA.
