Spring Break was exciting this year! Tyler turned 16! Mammy and Grandpop had their homecoming from Hungary. Makai finally got to meet Carl and they hit it off just like I had hoped they would.
We were thankful Monty found us some good tickets to fly to California. We just wish he could have joined us. However, his Spring Break was the week before. Why we don't have the same schedule is beyond me. Local schools should have the same Spring Break. He went to Pine Ridge Indian reservation for his Spring Break. He had a good time and learned a lot. But we missed him. We spent about half of the month apart. Glad it isn't always like that.

Makai always reads the safety guidelines cover to cover. I'm telling you, he is who you want to sit by if that plane ever goes down. For a while he didn't even what to go on the trip because he was afraid the plane would crash. But, he got over that and decided to join us. |

We flew into California on Tyler's 16th birthday. It took forever to get our renal car at LAX, but once that worked out we drove to our destination and Mammy had a cake and a pie ready for him. We ate it at about mid-night. So technically it was still his birthday! |
|
The following morning we jumped in the car to go see Grandma Carole. It had been too long since we had seen her and honestly I am not sure when we will make it back, so it was a trip worth taking and her place is not exactly the worst place to visit! We all love it. |
|
Playing at the park. It was the best thing to do after being in a plane one day and the car the next. |

Is that Maui? |
|
The second these two saw each other they were instant friends. It was almost like they have always been friends. I will never forget the look Carl gave Makai when he first saw him. We were behind a locked fence as I was brilliant and got us locked into the beach! Thankfully, Greg and Veronica were there to save us! |

I believe my exact words were, "Don't get wet!" |
|
I guess that works! |

When we got back Home Nana came and made us some Samoan Pancakes with Samoan hot chocolate. We spent hours cooking. We enjoyed talking and cooking. That is what Nana loves to do. |
|
Brody was our other new cousin. Kyle spending some quality time. They had a fun time together. |
|
Hiking is always a fun activity for a bunch of kids with lots of energy. It was a nice morning for a hike! |
|
Tyler and Andy are the same in everything. What they can lift. Their height. Their weight. Although, Tyler might be able to out eat Andy! They had a fun time competing. |
|
Couldn't get enough of these two together. |

At Nana's ward |

Makai went with me to Relief Society and is ready to change wards. It was actually for the Relief Society birthday. |
Monday we spent the day with Nana. We went and watched Beauty and the Beast. The boys all loved it. Then we went to In'N'Out and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Kory had a good time with Chase. Chase decided to stay for a couple more days after his family went home to hang out with the boys. We were so glad he did. It had been too long since they boys had hung out and he is such a good natured kid. I'd take him anywhere. Makai finished two burgers.
Afterward we decided to go on anther Hike. It was a different hike and a pretty steep hike. We enjoyed it and it was pretty beautiful at the top.
We were able to attend my parents homecoming talk on Sunday. And get a family picture. Everyone from my side of the family was there, except Monty. Once again, I wish he could have been there.

Todd and Lynette came from Texas to be at the meeting as well. Very nice of them.
|
The night before we left Nana and Lu came over to my parents house and we had a nice dinner. We had French Dip sandwiches with a Thai noodle. Nana made her famous guava cake. A wonderful way to end the week.
The next morning I was nervous and didn't want to miss our flight so we left pretty early. Things went pretty smoothly and we made our flight. I didn't stop for IN'n'Out like we did last time. Instead I payed a fortune to feed the boys in the airport.

This is how you travel with 5 boys! |
