We have been waiting for Tyler's mission call for about 4 weeks. I wasn't sure he was going to get his call because of Covid-19. The church actually brought home almost all of the missionaries serving from the United States and Canada and told them they needed to quarantine for two weeks. Once things get back to normal they will most likely be able to go back out, either to somewhere in the United States or maybe, eventually, back to their missions. If they were close to being released from their missions, they just received and early release. They sent home all the missionaries in the MTC and started training missionaries from their homes. Thus the reason I didn't really expect him to get a mission call! But, on April 16th, it Tyler's quiet way he came downstairs about 9:30 and said quietly, but with a smile on his face, I got my call! I'll probably open it on Friday when Brianna can be here! I couldn't believe he was going to wait and wasn't sure I'd be able to sleep! However, Brianna agreed to come that night and Sereina a sweet friend he met int he singles word also came. In fact, she brought a map of Tyler which I thought was really sweet and some lei's. We got online with family and Tyler read his call. He was so excited to read Quito, Ecuador. He'll be speaking Spanish and is assigned to leave August 5th. He was very happy with his call. We've looked up a little about Ecuador since and are very excited for him to have this experience. We just have a few things to get done before he leaves, and once stores open back up again we'll get right on that. He needs to get his wisdom teeth out, but all the dentist offices are closed and he needs to get a passport, but the passport place is closed. He needs to go through the temple, but the temple is closed! Haha. I'm sure they will all open up before he needs to leave. We are so proud of Tyler. Serving a mission is something he's always wanted to do. We are proud of him and know this will be life changing.
