We toured the campus. Kory enjoyed watching some of the hockey players practice. 
And I had to get a picture of Tyler by the TY. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Monty said it was kind of surreal to be back at the academy. He told us some funny stories about the good old days!
After the academy we went to "The Garden of the Gods". The sun was shinning so perfectly on the rocks the views were breathtaking. 
The boys enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Kyle was a wild man. This boy just took off when he saw a play area. He even found a secret hideout. I think he could live here and be happy.
Trey was pretty fearless as well. We all held our breaths a few times as he climbed up and down the rocks, but he managed to get out with only a few scrapes.

We ended the day by having a buffalo burger! Grandpop really wanted to try one and we found the perfect place on the way home. Monty and Grandpop were the only ones brave enough to get buffalo burgers. I got buffalo nachos as they were easier to eat with Makai sleeping on my lap and Mammy got soup and salad. We tried the guys burgers, but were both glad we didn't get one. They were tasty, but HUGE! What a great weekend we had. It went by SO fast, but was super fun. Thanks for the visit. And thanks Nana, the car looked better than I've ever seen it!;)

Great pictures of a perfect day. Even if Makai didn't like sitting on a rock. We love you guys. I'm feeling a little tired today. Now I remember why!

okay, so a few years ago, my neighbor across the street gave us a couple pounds of ground buffalo meat. and I agree with you....yuck....it just has such a strong meaty/bloody taste to it. I don't know how people lived off that stuff. I think if I had been a pioneer (or native american way back then)....I'd have gone vegan. In Alaska...they have reindeer burgers and sausage and all that.... Not too fond of that either.
What beautiful scenery. Trey looks so much older in these pictures. Aww Makai...I know, you want Nana to hold you. Thanks for sharing...Monty can keep the b.burgers. I love you guys.
