Yesterday Monty got off a little earlier than expected so we decided to take a drive up into the Rocky Mountains. The views are beautiful. I think Trey said it best when he said, "I can't believe my eyes."
It was a little cold at the top of the tundra and thankfully Kyle was willing to share his sweater with me. It's great to have bigger kids!
Trey being Trey!
We should have chosen our foot attire more appropriately, but being that it is July flip flops are what we usually wear. We were not thinking SNOW.
As we were driving we came across these bad boys!
Why did the Elk cross the road? Because the cars were honking its horns. by, Kyle
On our way down we stopped in Estes Park to go down the big slide. All the boys love it, except Trey.
Kyle and Kory
Makai LOVES the slide! When we get there he starts to run toward the slide. He was not intimidated by the climb.
But thankfully Tyler was there when he gave up.
And it was worth all the effort!
An amazingly fun day was had by all!!

I can't believe my eyes! Your kids are getting so big! Looks like you guys are enjoying life out there!
You are such beach bums! Flip flops to the mountains?!! You look great in Kory's jacket. Chloe loves to wear my clothes, but she's not to the point yet where I can wear hers. That slide looks like so much fun. We went to Estes Park YEARS ago, but I don't think they had that then. We just rode some tram. When I saw that first picture of Makai climbing up the stairs I fell in love with how protective Tyler is of him, so I wasn't surprised to see the next one of him carrying Makai up the stairs. What a great brother!
I think my favorite picture you've ever posted on the blog is the one of Tyler holding Makai and taking him up the stairs. So sweet! I'm sure it's not like this everyday, but they all seem to love eachother so much and get along so well. I hope my kids are like that!
How fun!
Those elk look familiar! Since the big fire up here the wildlife have been closer to towns....we saw a HUGE buck elk the other day. Oh and didn't tell you this. a lady in Pinetop (40 mins from here) was attacked by a black bear and is in critical condition...and she was right in town!
What super pictures--as usual! I loved the one with Tyler carrying Makai--I think I'm not the only one! It looked so cold up there. Good for Kyle to share his jacket with his freezing mom. That's two super noble sons--the baptized ones. They get points!
