Kory of course came up with the great idea to make a snow angel. Monty and I were pleasently surprised by how much Kory enjoyed the snow!!
Kyle joined in the fun. He's always up for fun.
Tyler prefered the snowballs. He is the only one that actually came into the car to warm up. While in the car he said, "Mom, I feel young again." After laughing I asked him what he meant and he explained that the last time he'd played in the snow was when we lived in Cheyenne.
Unfortunately we had one mishap...a snowball in the face. This didn't go over so well and I don't blame Kory for crying one bit. I would have been crying too. It was crazy cold outside. As payback we gave him a free shot at Tyler and he hit him square in the back.
Trey was different from his brother. He wanted nothing to do with the snow. In fact, the only time he got out of the car was to get a photo with all the brothers. He was shivering for this picture.(Trey has a nice warm coat...however, he refuses to wear it. It took a lot just to get him to wear this one.) While I took this picture he was saying..."Mom, it's too cold!"
Although we didn't last long in the snow due to lack of the proper gear, we had a great time just hanging out for a bit. Now all the boys want mittens for Christmas. Not gloves...mittens. They think mittens will help them make better snowballs!:)

How fun -- we have yet to get a good enough snow to go play in. And that's probably good, because Chloe still needs new snow boots. I didn't know about mittens helping with snowballs, but I know Sophie is hoping for some. She just doesn't like her gloves. What a fun afternoon.
I'm so jealous!!!! What a nice surprise it was to wake up and see it on the mountain tops though!
I loved it when we went up to the snow. It's nice to be able to drive up and play in it and not have to live in it huh? I pretty much have to bite my tongue to a million peices when we have snow and the kids are in and out and in and out and the floors are wet and snow clothes are everywhere and the door is left open with the heater on....oh to be a kid without a care in the world!
OMG... TJ & Monty are brothers for reals... It's not snowing yet but it is really cold out here....like 30 degrees... and TJ walks around with shorts and a regular shirt like we're still in California.
Your family is so much fun! And Monty wearing shorts to the snow just cracks me up.
oooo it's so hard to try to stay warm without gloves but they sure look like they had a lot of fun. Next time the boys will be prepared for the cold with there mittens:)
Way to go, those will be great memories for the boys! Good luck on your last few weeks of pregnancy. But of course, you are the veteran right? -Stephan
