Fall =FOOTBALL!!

Tyler and Kyle spend a lot of time at football practice!  We usually have a game three times a week because Kyle has is Freshman game and Tyler has his Varsity and JR Varsity games.  This year we were lucky because the weather was pretty good for most of the season.  We were only rained out of one game that I can remember.  We practically had to swim back to the car, but it was a fun adventure.  Kyle made the B team at the beginning of the season, but worked hard and by the end was on the A team.  He works so hard in football and puts all his heart and soul into the game.  He had a few plays that were rather powerful and left me the audience speechless.  One game he even hit a kid so hard they postponed the game for about a half hour while the ambulance was called to take the kid to the hospital.  Kyle felt really bad, but the kid was totally fine.  We watched the play several times on Hudl and it was a clean hit!
I love to see him on the field!  He is happy on the field.

Notice his double knee braces.
In one game Kyle overextended his Knee.  It took several weeks for it to heal.  He wanted to go back on the field after he was first hit, but the trainers wouldn't let him.  The next day he was on crutches.  It's hard for him to sit out, but he did while his knee healed.  He now has knee braces in hopes it will not happen again.  This is the part of the game I hate, but he loves it, so we let him play.  I believe the A team went undefeated!!  And Kyle won Special Teams player of the year!

Tyler worked hard this year. The varsity team went undefeated as well this year, but lost in the semi-finals.  He worked his way up to a pretty good position on varsity for the first playoff games, but then fell during the first quarter and dislocated his elbow.  He was a trooper and handled the pain like a beast, but this knocked him out for the rest of the season.

Makai was suppose to color this at church on Sunday.  We all decided it looked like Tyler with his dislocated elbow!  Haha.
Priceless Moments!  Trey helping Tyler do something he couldn't do on his own.  Thanks Trey.

Kory is a TEENAGER!!!

It's official!  We have three Teenagers!  At 13, Kory is taller than me by at least an inch.  He loves to draw and does an amazing job!  He likes to draw basketball players and will spend hours and days drawing the same picture to get it just right.  We are always impressed with what he does with a pencil.  He also loves to play basketball, play basketball video games and SLEEP.  He sleeps a lot these day!  He often falls to sleep after school and is hard to get up in the morning.  Unless, he is waking up to play basketball.  If he is waking up to play basketball he gets up just fine.

Kory picked his own gifts this year.  He wanted a lot of rapper gear.  I didn't let him get a chain or a Tupac shirt, but he did get a Chance the rapper hat and Conner McGregger shirt and a Lecrae shirt.  He's into rap.  I'm not so much, but I have to let him be himself--to an extent!

For his birthday he wanted chicken fried steak for dinner with a lemon meringue cake for dessert.

This cake may have been the best cake I've ever eaten!  It did not disappoint!

An art project Kory made in art this year.  His theme was cartoon and he even had CLOUD MAN(bottom right)--a cartoon he created and writes stories about.  He's pretty funny and shoots lightening out of his behind!  That makes all the boys laugh.

SHHHHHH!!!

Kyle noticed this sign when we dropped the boys off to go on a scout campout!  So funny.  We are all human.  WE are really curious how long it has been there!

Why Boys Need Moms

How we love this boys!  We often say his is a HOT MESS because he is.  He is ALWAYS late getting ready.  He'd rather read a book on his floor, stay in the shower for 20 minutes(and then go back to sleep), play with a lego...anything other then get dressed.  However, we manage to get him out of the house everyday--with some help!!
He had no idea why I wanted to take his picture.  So sweet!!
Happy Sabbath!!

Funnel Cakes

Kory had a funnel cake a school this year and really wanted to make some at home.  I'd never made them before, but it was actually a lot of fun to make them with him and I will say they were delicious.

Thanks for the fun idea Kory!!
