Driver's Permit

Tyler finally had a Friday off school so we decided to go get him his permit.  We studies for like the five hours we waited at the DMV and he passed!  Now the hard part begins.

Veggies

Sometimes dinner time seems to be a challenge for Makai.  Makai loves a few items of food a whole lot.  Like Hamburgers.  Pizza.  Quesadillas.  5 layer beefy burritos from taco bell.  Hot Dog.  Food that is not exactly good for you...he loves it.  But add any kind of veggie and his world is turned upside down.  I believe one day he will grow out of this, but for now...sometimes the veggies win.

Shoe Fairy

A man in our ward who asked to remain anonymous contacted me to perform an act of service for our family.  He called himself the SHOE FAIRY.  This was a note Makai had in his shoes.  Made me laugh.  

Other notes were more serious.

He collected all the boys church shoes and polished them.  Then carefully wrapped them all and left a note inside each pair of shoes with a piece of chocolate.  A couple of the boys had pretty worn out laces and come Sunday morning they found their laces had been replaced as well.  We will never forget this act of service.  Very kind.  

Makai knows this man pretty well.  He is his primary teacher, but he has no idea his teacher is the shoe fairy.  He thinks the shoe fairy is a girl!  

Prom 2017--First Date!!

One night this was dropped off at our doorstep!

Kyle helped Tyler come up with a way to say YES.  Tyler got a pinata and filled it with Sofia's favorite candy along with a note that said, "YES!"

And the suit shopping began.

Kyle decided to turn the event into something fun.  They called themselves 'The Fashion Police'.  They all got into crazy outfits just kinda as a joke.  However, Makai didn't have to change.  The kid always dresses crazy and has NO fashion sense.  

Tyler's lovely date arrived.  They looked so nice.  I loved her dress.  Very classy and elegant. 

Post prom. He had a nice time, but said the dance was a let down.  However, after prom was a blast.  They stayed out till 5:30am.  We are thankful he had a nice first date!!
