Off with the old...

For the past few weeks I've been wanting to cut my hair. After having a baby it gets so thin and although it was pretty long, the ends were thin. Monty came home Friday and told me he'd come to terms and to go the next morning and cut it. Thanks hun. The lady who cut it had a different anatomy class than me because I asked her to cut it to my shoulders and somehow it is at my chin. Getting use to it being short is different, but I do like it. So...off with the old.

Lets Pretend

Trey loves to wear all one color! The other day he brought down his red pants with a maroon shirt. I told him, "Trey those don't match buddy." To which he said, "Um...mom, lets just pretend okay."

10 YEARS--REALLY?

I can hardly believe that Tyler is 10 years old, but he is! The night before his birthday I was sitting next to him on the couch and told him I couldn't believe how fast these 10 years have gone. He said, "Not to me! It's taken a long time." Parents always say time flies and man it's so true...when you are on this end!
He was so excited for his birthday this year and why not...he's two whole hands! Early in the morning he came into our room and tapped my shoulder and then just stood there. Of course he was waiting for me to wish him a happy birthday, so I did and then told him he could go play video games (and I went back to sleep). He's been eyeballing this cake from Sam's club for months! It is a chocolate cake with chocolate moose and Reese's peanut butter cups crushed on top. He said it was just as good as he'd imagined. We spent the afternoon at the park. The weather was perfect. We had Italian food for dinner, which is Tyler's favorite...hands down. We got him a new watch, a Rubiks 360 (which he completed in one day), more origami paper, and of course a few video games. He also got a bug book, experiment kit and a bingo game from Mammy and Grandpop.

We love you Tyler and can't believe you are really 10 yrs old!!

I love our boys!

Just thought I'd post a few pictures that show our boys in true character. Trey loves to dress up. One of his favorites is dressing up as a pirate. A friend of mine who has boys gave us this costume when Kyle was little...it's still a favorite. In Character: OUT of character and laughing at what he said while 'IN character':
Kyle is so happy to be a scout. He just got his bobcat so he can now start on his Bear. Next pack meeting is pinewood derby...dad gets to make two cars this year!:)
I just got called to Young Women. I teach the girls age 12/13. They are a lot of fun. This week our activity had to be at my house. Makai thought that was just fine. The girls were all over him and he loved every second of it.
Okay, so I took this a few weeks ago when Makai was sick and yes I am fully aware of how nasty his face and shirt are, but that is what he looked like all week(2 weeks actually). I took the picture however because Makai loves to play connect 4. He loves to put the little pieces into the slots. This will occupy him for several minutes. If he is being really quiet I can usually find him somewhere working intently with his fingers trying to put something into something, or stacking objects like blocks. I think we've got another builder on our hands.
Fun times.
