| A man in our ward who asked to remain anonymous contacted me to perform an act of service for our family. He called himself the SHOE FAIRY. This was a note Makai had in his shoes. Made me laugh. |

| Other notes were more serious. |

| He collected all the boys church shoes and polished them. Then carefully wrapped them all and left a note inside each pair of shoes with a piece of chocolate. A couple of the boys had pretty worn out laces and come Sunday morning they found their laces had been replaced as well. We will never forget this act of service. Very kind. |

| Makai knows this man pretty well. He is his primary teacher, but he has no idea his teacher is the shoe fairy. He thinks the shoe fairy is a girl! |
